For one restaurant, we would build a TypeScript / Next.js app on Vercel: the public menu, guest checkout, an order-tracking page and a staff kitchen dashboard. Start with pickup, menu modifiers, opening hours, prep times, sold-out controls and refunds. Add approved POS and delivery connections when needed.
Supabase Auth provides staff sign-in with role-based access; customers can check out as guests. Supabase Storage holds menu photos, and authenticated Realtime updates refresh the kitchen screen, with polling as a fallback.
Supabase Postgres stores locations, menu items and modifiers, orders and item-price snapshots, payment references, fulfillment events, provider ID mappings, notification preferences and pending jobs. Monetary values use integer cents. Card details stay with the payment provider.
The app owns direct website orders. For a restaurant with a POS, its menu and availability become the source of truth; we synchronize a local copy. Without a POS, staff manage the menu here. Configure database backups, separate photo backups and a tested restore procedure.
The API checks current prices, availability, pickup capacity and configured taxes and fees, then saves a pending order before creating Stripe Checkout. A verified payment webhook records payment and a dispatch job in one database transaction. A return to the checkout page alone never marks an order paid.
Inngest delivers saved jobs using stable order IDs, duplicate-event checks and bounded retries. A scheduled recovery job picks up unsent work. Staff see failed handoffs and can retry, reject or refund an order. “Paid” and “accepted by the kitchen” remain separate states; kitchen acceptance triggers courier dispatch when delivery is selected.
Choose one kitchen destination: our dashboard or the restaurant’s approved POS connection. For marketplace aggregation, use Deliverect’s supported connectors for Uber Eats, DoorDash and Grubhub. Our website becomes an approved ordering channel; external IDs and status events link records without submitting the same marketplace order twice.
Uber Direct and DoorDash Drive are courier services for orders placed on your own site. They do not create orders in the Uber Eats or DoorDash marketplaces. Confirm access, delivery coverage and quotes before enabling checkout delivery options.
Stripe Checkout is the standalone proposal, with cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay where supported. If the restaurant uses Square, Toast or Clover, we first confirm its required payment flow and fees; the POS-native processor may replace Stripe.
Resend sends order emails. Twilio can add SMS or WhatsApp status updates with customer opt-in and approved WhatsApp templates where required. Delivery failures remain visible to staff, and the tracking page stays available independently of messages.
Deliverect requires onboarding and an API agreement for a custom integration. Direct Uber Eats and DoorDash marketplace APIs and Toast partner access require approval; DoorDash Drive production access is restricted. Existing merchant accounts alone do not guarantee write access.
We would validate the restaurant’s POS model, plans, menu modifiers, payment rules, kitchen routing and delivery area first, then test payment failures, repeated webhooks, sold-out items, refunds and offline kitchen handoffs before launch.

Isaac created such a beautiful, professional website for Sitters Over FL, and I’m so happy with how it turned out! He helped with so much more than the design, from setting up booking forms to organizing sitter applications. He thought of details I wouldn’t have considered on my own, and I really appreciate all the time and effort he put into making everything work for my business.

We start by understanding the problem, define what needs to be built, and keep the work organized around the people who will use it.
We discuss your goals, users, current setup, and priorities so we can understand what the project needs to accomplish.
We organize the requirements into a practical scope and map the key pages, screens, workflows, and integrations.
We develop the interface and the functionality behind it, reviewing the work against the agreed requirements as it takes shape.
We test the agreed user journeys, prepare the project for launch, and confirm the handoff and any ongoing support included in the engagement.
We’re committed to making development affordable and accommodating. Tell us your priorities and the budget you’re comfortable with, and we’ll work with you to shape a practical scope.
We’ll help identify what matters most and focus the scope on the features you need.
We work with you to discuss options and adapt the scope to your needs and budget.
Our stack includes TypeScript, React, React Native, Next.js, Python, PostgreSQL, and Stripe. We choose the tools that fit the project’s requirements.
We build websites and software for businesses that need clear customer experiences and practical systems behind them.
Pedantic Tech was founded by Isaac Cohen, a full-stack developer with roots in Israel and Manhattan. Raised and educated across multiple countries and currently based in Israel, he brings a global perspective and a strong ability to work across cultures and business environments. He began building software at 14 and went on to gain professional experience at a medical software company and, more recently, in investment banking. Combining analytical thinking with entrepreneurial initiative, Isaac has built everything from a WhatsApp marketplace to a live trading platform. Today, he brings that same hands-on approach to a team based in Miami and Israel, building thoughtful websites and software around the people and businesses that use them.
